Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary is stored until you have said yes. Every optional category is set to “declined” by default, and if you press “Decline” in the banner, the category settings open so you can see exactly what is turned off – and keep anything you do want.

• Necessary (always on) – Login, security and storing your cookie choice. Cannot be turned off.
• Statistics – Visitor statistics and heatmaps (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity), so we can see what gets used and what doesn’t work.
• Marketing – Ad measurement and targeting with ad networks such as Google Ads and Meta.
• Personalisation – Remembers your preferences and tailors content and recommendations to you.

Statistics come from Google Analytics with Consent Mode v2: the signals stay at “denied” until you choose otherwise. If you accept statistics, we also use Microsoft Clarity to see how the pages actually work: heatmaps and anonymised recordings of taps, mouse movement and scrolling. Anything you type into forms is masked by the tool and never reaches us, and if you say no to statistics, Clarity is not loaded at all. Your choice is stored only in your own browser. If you sign up for the newsletter, we store your email address and where you signed up in our own database. We use the address only to send you the newsletter.

Every marketing email links to your email preferences: a page where you switch each type of marketing on or off and save. You can unsubscribe from everything in one click on the same page. Important service and account messages are sent regardless. Emails from our sister brands (Eksamensportalen, Syncto, Båtfører, Jaktprøve and the others) have a similar page on the brand’s own domain.

If you want us to delete your address entirely, send us an email and we will remove it from the database.

The login on this website is only used by the people who work at Aprende, not by visitors. The website and database are hosted by the cloud provider Railway. Google (Analytics) and Railway (hosting) process data on our behalf as data processors.

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to the processing. Contact us at [email protected] and we will reply as soon as we can.

If you believe we process personal data in breach of the rules, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
