Båtfører.
Båtfører is a Norwegian practice app for båtførerprøven, the boat licence test, built around one promise: if you don’t pass, you get your money back. You practise with clickable navigation marks, navigation lights and nautical charts, and take full mock exams with the same pass mark as the real test. Båtfører is part of Aprende AS.
What we do
We measure topic by topic and drill the especially important topics extra hard, where only two mistakes are allowed. Every question comes with an explanation after you answer, so you learn from your mistakes instead of guessing your way through.
The pass guarantee isn’t a footnote, it’s the whole point. Get 40 out of 50 right on five mock exams in a row in the app, and the guarantee unlocks automatically. If you still fail the official test, we refund the full amount.
Want to get started? You can practise for the boat licence test directly at Båtfører, or visit baatforer.no to see the full service.
How it started
Båtfører launches as a mobile-first practice app on båtforer.no, under Aprende AS.
The pass guarantee is simplified to one criterion: five mock exams in a row with 80% correct.
Realistic, clickable questions in all four topics, with extra weight on the especially important ones.
Frequently asked questions
What do you need to pass the boat licence test?
You need at least 80% correct (40 of 50 questions) overall, and you must also pass the especially important topics, where only two mistakes are allowed.
How does the pass guarantee work?
Get 40 of 50 right on five mock exams in a row in the app, and the guarantee unlocks. If you fail the official test, we refund the full amount you paid, on documentation.
Is Båtfører the test itself?
No. The official test is taken at an approved test centre (Norsk Test). Båtfører is the practice you do beforehand so you feel confident when you show up.
