Studentkompasset.
Studentkompasset is a free Norwegian website that helps you choose the right degree and career – with data instead of guesswork. You see the grades students actually get in each course, the admission cut-offs for each programme, what jobs actually pay, and which degrees lead where you want to go. Everything is built on open public data, and everything is free. Studentkompasset is part of Aprende AS.
What we do
School leavers get the whole study choice in one place: a catalogue of 87 occupations with real salary and employment figures from Statistics Norway (SSB), admission cut-offs for both the ordinary quota and the quota for first-time applicants, a map of study places, and a career quiz that suggests occupations based on what you like – and what your grades realistically allow.
Students use the course pages: grade distribution, fail rate and fellow students’ reviews for courses at Norwegian universities and colleges – useful when you choose electives or want to know how demanding a course is. And when the exam gets close, Studentkompasset points on to its sister product Eksamensportalen.
Want to get started? You can check grade distributions and admission cut-offs directly at Studentkompasset, or visit studentkompasset.no to see the full service.
How it started
Studentkompasset is built and launched on studentkompasset.no: grade data from DBH/HK-dir, admission cut-offs from Samordna opptak and salary figures from SSB in one place.
The occupation catalogue grows to 87 occupations, the career quiz and the school map are added – and Studentkompasset becomes the newest brand in the Aprende portfolio.
